Single Session Therapy

Single Session Therapy is also known as One-Off, Standalone and Pit Stop Therapy. The sessions serve as a ‘check-in’ and ‘tune-up’ for your mind – an opportunity to address a single issue or to become unstuck.

Single Session Therapy is a specific method of therapy that is increasingly offered by highly skilled therapists who use their experience, skill sets and knowledge to address clients’ presenting issues within one session.  Examples may be when you:

  • Are new to therapy and might like to “try it out”
  • Need to talk about a relationship issue/breakup
  • Feel overwhelmed at work and/or at home
  • Need some perspective about a situation
  • Are feeling temporarily lost in life
  • Need to open up about something

Single Session consultations are perfect if you generally cope well with life and do not have a history of mental health problems.

  • You will be fast-tracked and can be offered an appointment within three to four days
  • You can self-refer
  • Expectations need to be realistic – I can help with this.

Single Session Therapist, Kent, London

The session takes place with the understanding that the session might be the only one.

If during the consultation or afterward you decide that you want to follow it up with ongoing therapy, then you have that option, too.
